 प्रेम और परमात्मा: प्रेम और परमात्मा संतो की उपदेश देने की रीति-नीति भी अनूठी होती है. कई संत अपने पास आने वाले से ही प्रश्न करते है और उसकी जिज्ञासा को जगाते है; और सही-सही मार्गदर्शन कर देते है. आचार्य रामानुजाचार्य एक महान संत एवं संप्रदाय-धर्म के आचार्य थे . दूर दूर से लोग उनके दर्शन एवं मार्गदर्शन के लिए आते थे. सहज तथा सरल रीति से वे उपदेश देते थे. एक दिन एक युवक उनके पास आया और पैर में वंदना करके बोला : “मुझे आपका शिष्य होना है. आप मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लीजिए.” रामानुजाचार्यने कहा : “तुझे शिष्य क्यों बनना है ?” युवक ने कहा : “मेरा शिष्य होने का हेतु तो परमात्मा से प्रेम करना है.” संत रामानुजाचार्य ने तब कहा : “इसका अर्थ है कि तुझे परमात्मा से प्रीति करनी है. परन्तु मुझे एक बात बता दे कि क्या तुझे तेरे घर के किसी व्यक्ति से  प्रेम है ?” युवक ने कहा : “ना, किसीसे भी मुझे प्रेम नहीं.” तब फिर संतश्री ने पूछा : “तुझे तेरे माता-पिता या भाई-बहन पर स्नेह आता है क्या ?” युवक ने नकारते हुए कहा ,“मुझे किसी पर भी तनिकमात्र भी स्नेह नहीं आता. पूरी दुनिया स्वार्थपरायण है, ये सब मिथ्या...
